Yes, Please!

I frequent J.Crew regularly... Like every other day. Do I have anything from J. Crew? No, I can't afford anything from there, but that doesn't stop me from dreaming about Cashmere sweaters and $300 purses. There's no hope for me. I saw these in the "sleepwear" section this morning! I don't know how attractive the would be on, because you have to be stick straight to wear these. and, although I'm thin, I don't think it would be flattering to see my hips sticking out. But hey, like I said, I can dream! These would be so fun to wear while reading a book in front of a fire. I need to find other hobbies besides reading it looks like. Anyway! Go here to view more details about J. Crew's Classic Union Suit Pajamas. I want mine in Navy blue!

The Little Black Dress

I love a little black dress....And a collar...And rosettes... I'm a firm believer that everyone needs a little black dress...Or two... Or three. I have four. And I'm always on the look out for another perfect black dress. I found these beautiful black dresses by Jill Lindsey today. I want them all, they are so fabulous!

Dreamy

Well I'm secluded to the bed today trying to get rid of a headache that has been plaguing me since last night. I'm can finally feel it start to go away, but it's already 2:30, and that means I've practically wasted the day in bed. It gave me a chance to work on booking another Boudoir Session, and work on some other Boudoir stuff that I've been meaning to do, but took a back seat to all the other stuff that has been going on these last couple weeks. The headache is a result of stress due to something not working right yesterday. It's sad really that things like that ruin my day so easily. Now two days actually. But I wasn't completely worthless as I got a few things done from bed, and then later, I'm going to attempt to get the Christmas card templates downloaded that I tried to get downloaded yesterday with no luck. I need Josh's support for that. Maybe more like someone to yell at when I can't get it figured out. That poor guy is the sweetest husband.
I came across some of these dreamy photos while visiting my favorite blog, Coco & Kelley this morning, like I do every day, numerous times a day. I had to take a look at more of Maude Arsenault's work for myself. Enjoy, and hopefully I will be back in working order tomorrow! Have a wonderful Monday afternoon!

I Saw This...

and almost died... Isn't it the most wonderful thing you have ever seen? My heart almost stopped beating when I saw this beautiful chiffon necklace. It's stunning. So if anyone wants to get me an early Christmas present, or even for an anniversary gift, since I already have my gift from Josh. It would be so much appreciated! Anyway, you can take a look at this necklace, and other pieces by Untamed Petals here.

Rainy Wednesday

My poor neglected blog. I've been crazy busy since last weekend. Monday we were still in our hometown, I was getting my fall style on, and Josh was resting up from a weekend in the woods. Yesterday was spent surrounded by a mound of laundry, and editing photos from Sunday's awesome session. Today, I'm off to a doctor's appointment... Bleh. It' seems that we have started our season of torrential downpour, so I thought this photo suited our current state well. Hopefully, I will be back to my regular blogging schedule tomorrow. Try to enjoy your rain filled day if you are living in the Northwest!

My hubby is having a guys weekend this weekend, so I'm out to find something to do with myself. Saturday night I'm spending some time with sweet friends, I have a session Sunday morning with an awesome family, and I'm so excited! Monday my hair is going dark! FINALLY! I definitely need a change. And going a little warmer is always a good idea for the winter months. I'm thinking a chocolatey (is that a word?) brown. Have a fabulous weekend darlings!

Thursday Randomness

Today is one of those days when I just don't know what sort of topic to stay on for my post, so I'm going to put a disclaimer on it now and say that these photos are totally random. Let's call it "inspiring photo day" Enjoy!

This Blumenfeld Vogue Cover was my first photo of inspiration this morning:)
I hope I look this good this fall

And this good

This made me smile:)

And this makes me a little nostalgic, for what I don't know, it's just so calming.

House of Telsa

I came across Etsy seller House of Telsa while going through the archives of one of my favorite blogs. I adore most everything girly these days, and these rosettes are no exception. I love rosettes on everything from shoes, to purses, to headpieces like these. I just really can't get enough. I'm actually kind of sad that I don't have anywhere to wear one of these beauties... Sigh... I guess I just need to start hosting events so Ican dress up more often. I had a hard time choosing more than a few to show, but pop on over to House of Telsa to see more beautiful vintage inspired pieces!

This one might be my favorite because it's understated enough to wear everyday:)

I love the black and pink combo here, and the veil. It adds a french boudoir look!

This one is a cuff. I wonder if you could add a little pin on the back and put it on a blouse?

I might cry if I got to photograph a bride wearing one of these!

Go take a look at House of Telsa

Ciao!

I'll Take One Of These

I came across this little gem while looking at jackets for this season. I really don't need another jacket, but I look anyway. I already have three wool jackets... I think it's three, it may be more...This "Ravishing Ruffle Jacket" from Boden would look lovely with a pair of dark jeans and some ballet flats, don't you think? This gets me even more excited for the change in weather!

The jacket also comes in blue and black:)

Lovely!

It looks like Kate Walsh is taking some styling tips from Alyssa Lillegard (right...). Kate Walsh showed up on Sunday to the 2009 Emmys in one (my favorite) of the three J. Mendel dresses I blogged about on Saturday. Seeing it on a real person, not just a model makes me fall in love even more, and look at the back. Oh what I would give to have this dress. I have no clue where I would wear it, so I'd just walk around the house in it.

Heading to the City

Josh and I are heading to Portland to day to see what we can see. Josh's parents are coming down, the only reason Josh would ever step foot in a city without a fight is if company is coming. We are headed out to have some delicious food at one of the Diner, Drive Ins and Dives restaurants Josh's mom saw on the show, and then after that, it's a mystery!
I came across these photos today. I think they are just perfect. I've never been a huge fan of Kerri Russel, but these photos are just lovely of her. I want to own everything she is wearing. It reminds me of walking on a crisp cold morning in Paris. I miss that weekend we spent there so much. We are off to our adventures. Have a wonderful Sunday! Do something fun.
This sweater is amazing. I love the frills!

I love a big scarf, and jacket!

J. Mendel Dresses

Found these J. Mendel dresses while perusing. I just love dresses, and these are just divine. Everything about them is amazing. If only I could afford something like this... Sigh... I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

I can't decide which one I love more. Maybe the middle one?

Jackie O

I can't believe it's been a week since I posted last. This blog was finally getting updated on a regular basis, and then over the 3 day weekend (which turned into a 4 day weekend for Josh and me) the blog got totally neglected. Josh and I spent a much needed day together in Olympia just wandering around. We spend so much time running from place to place, we rarely just go do something together. Wednesday I had a session back in Monte, so I packed up my gear and made the trip again. Since then I've been editing like a mad woman and cleaning house a little in between. Hopefully next week the blog will be back to normal!

In honor of this month's VF issue I've decided to post a few photos about Jackie Kennedy (later Jackie Onassis). The article has a few photos, but the cover is definitely the best shot of the group.

Let me start of by saying that I love Jackie Kennedy. She's always been on my list of people who I would loved to have met. You have one too, I'm sure. When I think style icon she's right up there with Audrey Hepburn, and Grace Kelly. All three women are classic style inspiration.

Have a fabulous Weekend!

Behold

I came home last night to a husband asking me if I wanted to open my present tonight or on my birthday? "How about tonight? Well, it's not your birthday today... You won't have anything on your birthday.. You're not a big birthday celebrator, though, but whatever you want... How about you open it tonight?"

So I decided to open my present last night, because I knew that for the next 3 days Josh would be following me around asking me if I wanted to open my gift.

I was then banished to the garage for 10 minutes... I thought maybe, just maybe I was getting a puppy. After all, I've received everything from art work, to a kitten. Nope, no puppy, which is probably a good thing, because that's one more thing we can't afford.

Josh sent me on a little scavenger hunt throughout the house with clues to finding my gift. I ended up with a bottle of wine too. :) He definitely knows the way to my heart.
They are a little big, so I'm having to have a 9 shipped in from the closest place they had a pair (California) everywhere else is out in a 9. I'm holding out that those fit because they don't make that shoe in half sizes apparently. If they don't fit life will probably end as I know it.

My favorite part about this whole thing is that I mentioned the shoes in passing while on the hunt for a pair of sandals for last weekends wedding. I had pointed at them and said I loved them. Isn't it adorable that he remembers stuff like that. Another birthday, another great gift that did not dissapoint.

I'm one lucky girl:)

Audrey Inspired

It's no secret that I love all things Audrey Hepbrun, I've posted about her before, and I've also posted about the fact that I think I love her so much because she reminds me of my mom's mom. My grandma had that classic, effortless, fashion sense, and she was always just a few steps ahead in not only her fashion sense, but her interior design sense as well. I would LOVE to have that effortless look that my grandma, and Audrey pulled off so well.

Here are some Audrey inspired fashions that I would love to wear!

My Affinity For Dresses

I love clothes. I won't deny it. And you probably couldn't tell that I do, considering I've been wearing the same boring stuff since only God knows how long. Buying clothes comes after paying the bills and after my business needs, which right now, doesn't leave room for much else. My favorite clothing? Dresses. When I was little, I used to only wear dresses, sometimes I wore them with leggings and jellies, but they were dresses none the less. My mom tried to get me into a pair of Osh Kosh B'gosh and I was MORTIFIED. I didn't want to look like a boy, and if that wasn't enough to convince my mother, I hated how they felt on my legs. They were too stiff and scratchy. It was kind of like when we would go to the beach and I would get sand in between my toes. Oh the horror. Wearing jeans and sand between my toes were hellish occurances in life, so I stayed away from them like the plague. And then I came to that time in my childhood, like most girls do... The time we have an identity crisis and we want to be picked first for the baseball team, and we abandon those pretty little dresses in exchange for baggy pants and tshirts.

It was easy for me to look like a boy considering my hair refused to grow, and regardless of what my mom thinks, I DID have a mullet, and a white blonde mullet at that. I had what you call brillow pad hair, where at four you could probably see my wispy brillow pad blowing in the wind while I rode my bike (with training wheels) before you even saw my face. Just picture how attractive a gangly four year old with a huge gap in her teeth was. I was a real piece of work.

That ugly stage lasted from 6-16 something that I hope when I have a daughter she doesn't have to suffer for so long. It's bound to happen, but I hope it's not the length of time that I suffered through.

Anyway, sometime during high school I stopped trying to hide that fact that I was a girl. I spent alot of time during my high scehool career hiding that fact that I was tall too. And if by some miracle the planets shifted, hell actually froze over, and I decided to buy clothes that actually fit. Clothes that had flowers on them... It was an amazing feeling.

I was back in love with dresses to. Dresses are the first thing I look at when I walk through a store. I'm not even allowed to stop when I'm with Josh, but sometimes I am allowed a quick skim through to see if there is anything I absolutely can't live witout. I have at least 4 little black dresses, one of which I have yet to wear, but it is perfect in the way that Audrey Hepburn's dresses were perfect, and for now I just try it on with my pearls and twirl in the mirror. It can only be worn to the most wonderful of places... This might be hard considering Josh and I rarely do anything aside from going to Target and venturing out to the occassional movie.

I spend hours online looking at dresses that I could never afford, but it makes me feel oh so good to dream. So here are a few dresses that I could never afford that I am absolutely in love with! Enjoy!

I think I loved every piece of clothing Kiera Knightley wore in this movie. I would wear any of the pieces my favorite is the green dress. It is to die for. and the dress on the right is amazing too.

This is Sienna Miller in Vogue. I kept this issue for so long. I couldn't find the other blue dress from this shoot but it was amazing too. Maybe it was the same dress, but this was all I could find. Isn't it divine?

Scarlett Johannson is pretty amazing. I love this dress. And the shoes are great too.

I had this picture saved because I love this photo... And Christ Noth. Don't ask. Again, it's the older man thing. But who can forget to put Carrie Bradshaw on a dress list?!LOVE THIS!

This a Grace Kelly dress. I would wear this in a hearbeat. Where? I don't have a clue!

Can't get enough of Rachel McAdams' dress in the Notebook!

I didn't used to be much for ruffles and poof, but I'm in love with frills now. AH!

This dress is stunning. I'm pretty sure that is a necklace, it makes the dress spectacular.

I posted more than I originally thought I would, but I went through my "Things I Love" folder. All images were found via Google.

Have a great weekend everyone!
