What I'm Doing Today :)

I'm working frantically to get my Senior Rep Session photos edited, and put in a gallery. I need them done by today. This is the only "food" intake I have had today...

Wishing I Had One Of These...

To spend the day in... I have wanted a window seat for as long as I could remember. I love, love, love to read, and spend the day looking out my window. I love windows period, and some good natural light. This looks like the perfect spot to cuddle up with a hot cup of tea, or coffee, a blanket and a good book. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Happy Weekend!

I'm off for another session tomorrow afternoon. An engagement session that I am so excited about. I photographed the same couple a year ago, and we are headed to the same area. Hopefully the weather holds up, as it started raining today:( Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

(A Few Of Our) Favorite Things

I came across this blog this morning, while I was perusing blogs. I have a few blogs I visit EVERY day. They've changed over the last couple years, as my tastes have changed. It's so much fun to look back on what I couldn't get enough of a year ago, and compare it with what I can't get enough of today.

Today I came across (A Few Of Our) Favorite Things, and I feel instantly in love. I have always been captivated by polaroids, but have never owned one (sad, I know). Each lady (sisters I believe) take a photo each, and post it online every Monday. I really wish I would take the time to do this. At the beginning of the year, I vowed to take a photo a day, which lasted for about a week and a half... So when the new year starts, I'm going to try again, but doing a photo a week, like these ladies. I'm sure these ladies are snapping photos all the time, though! The images are simple, girly, and stunning.

As of Monday these ladies are on week 45. I encourage you to sit down with your coffee, or tea and immerse yourself in beautiful photos.

Here are the links to each of their personal blogs as well

Houses

I was talking to my brother this afternoon online (he's at college now) and he sent me a photo of an awesome house, and then directed me to this website to check out some more crazy houses.
I'm usually an old house kind of girl, and my brother is the exact opposite. He loves modern houses. I've been liking modern houses more and more lately. I am a huge fan of big windows and natural light. Here are my two favorites from the set!

My Favorite: This house is in Vancouver BC.

This kind of reminds me of the house from the moview The Lake House. Due to the big windows.

You Can Only Do This If You Are French...

I'm not a fan of smoking, but there is something about the french smoking that doesn't bother me. I'm super busy this week, so perusing pretty things, and posting will be light. I LOVE Vanessa Paradis, she's even more awesome because she is together with the one guy I am allowed to leave Josh for, Johnny Depp. Oh, and I'm loving the shirt:)

Have a wonderful day!

Keep Calm Gallery

I found this little gem while perusing the Keep Calm Gallery. There are only 8 of these left. The last time I checked, a few weeks ago, there were 15.

I'm off for the rest of the week. It's been a crazy one so far. Tomorrow morning we are getting up at the crack of dawn to move my brother to WSU. And then we are heading back! I can't believe my baby brother turned 19 (yesterday) and is headed off to college. I'm going to miss him so much. When I was a kid I never thought I would say that.

Anyway, take a look at the Keep Calm gallery, it is wonderful. With so much inspiration. I want this print hanging on the wall in my office.:)

A Quote For Friday

I came across this quote while reading The Time Traveler's Wife. I've read it many times before, while reading To His Coy Mistress by Andrew Marvell. It never really meant anything to me, but this week, while wrapped up in the book, it caught my eye, and my heart, and I can't let it go. My mom and I are off to see the movie tonight. I'm trying to keep the book and the movie completely seperate, so I can enjoy both without too much scrutinization of the movie. I'm very excited. If you haven't read it, go now and buy it. The Time Traveler's Wife is heart breakingly beautiful, a story that I didn't want to end.

Go, now! Buy it:)

It's a working weekend for me! Enjoy your weekend!

I Have To Have One Of These... And Maybe One Of These... And These...

I was absent mindedly flipping through my new issue of VF last night while watching baseball with Josh. The first time I look at magazines I quickly flip through, and then the second, third, and fifteenth time I look at magazines, I read if not every bit, than almost every bit of writing the magazine contains. Back to the story, as I was flipping through furiously (I was in a horrendous mood last night) something red caught my eye. :)

Heaven!

The stats: Mino'x throw back Rolleiflex Af5.0 is a tiny digital replica of the classic Rolleiflex 6x6.
Measuring just 49 by 73 mm, it produces square format images with resolution up to five million pixels., and shtture release even requires that you crank it *sigh*:) $449 from Minox.com

I added that to my Christmas list that already includes a Tiffany's Key Necklace found here

And Hermes' Ulysse Leather Notebook in Flourescent Pink found here

I can dream can't I?

Have a wonderful Thursday!

WHY?!

I'm on the hunt for these pillow cases. Of course I can find them in the UK at Lush Designs, but they do not ship to the US :( The story of my life: Things I want are always from the UK and they don't ship here. Case in point Graham and Green . I want the pink or the black ones. Ideally, I would like them to have gray lettering to match what the rest of the bedroom will be:)

Does anyone know where I can find them, a place where they aren't ungodly expensive?

Photo Via Country Living
I'm hoping to talk my husband into going to Ikea either today or tomorrow:) Tonight is date night which means movies, and a picnic in the living room with homemade salsa and chips!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Sigh

I'm not so patiently awaiting the arrival of my newest issue of Vanity Fair. My mother was nice enough to order it for me as a Christmas present, but you know how the mail system works, and the slip must have gotten lost, so I never got any of the magazines she order for me. I'm pretty sure she ordered Real Simple too... But the other day, much to my surprise, while I was visiting her, I saw on her computer, a comfirmation from VF. Talk about making my day. They said, my first issue probably wouldn't come for 6-8 weeks, but when I got home there is was in my mail box! I had already bought that issue, because I can rarely keep myself from purchasing my most beloved magazine, so I will keep the one I got in the mail all nice, and stack it with the other VF Mags I have. Yes, I keep them.
Because I couldn't resist. Yesterday, after an announcement on MSN, I checked out VF's best dressed list. I wasted (or not) an hour perusing the site. I check almost everyday for updates. Especially being so close to the release date of this issue (it comes out today).

I found these photos, which have an article with them. I didn't read the article. I will read it when I get my magazine. One of the many things I love about VF is the fact that there are a huge amount of articles, but also photos to go with them. The best of both worlds, I guess.

These photos are of two characters from the show MAD MEN on AMC. I've always wanted to see this show. I always say I was born in the wrong era, so is Josh, but at the same time, I have way too many opinions. I would never have survived. The clothing is beautiful. The people are beautiful. Here is a sneak peek! I think I will be renting the Mad Men seasons from Blockbuster soon. :)

The photos were taken by the queen of photography herself: Annie Leibovitz

I love absolutely everything about this photo. :)

I've Died and Gone To Heaven

I was perusing aroung Anthropologie and Apartment Therapy today, and before the internet connection froze on me, I found this little Gem on the Anthro site. It comes from the patchwork and paisley collection. I ADORE paisley, and pretty much anything that comes out of Anthropologie is good as gold to me. I would live there if I could. That said, here is the chair I found, and almost fell off my couch over. Josh thinks it is hideous, and my mom would probably ask what planet I am from, but I would die if I had this chair in my house. I don't have a clue where I would put it, but I would find a spot. It be a beautiful chair to use for sessions, but I don't think I could bring myself to use a chair for photos with a $1,600+ price tag. So, if anyone is has an extra 2 grand lying around and you don't know what to do with it. I would be forever grateful if you bought me this chair!

I will be without internet starting I don't know when, until Friday, I think. Our current server wasn't very specific on when they were shutting us off. I can't wait to get a faster speed!:) It will be a wonderful day when I can go onto a site without my computer exploding!
